The three venues where most bars and nightclubs are located are Central, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. Central is where most locals go after work, especially Lan Kwai Fong, SoHo and BoHo. Wan Chai and nearby Causeway Bay have a more dazzling Hong Kong nightlife scene. Many bars and discos that are in full swing late at night are located there.
Lan Kwai Fong is the most popular area for Hong Kong nightlife. It is one of the several busy nightlife venues for Hong Kong's young and trendy, where modern food, funky bars, nightclubs, English pubs and snack shops are found. Visiting the area on Friday or Saturday night may be overwhelming as the streets are filled with enormous crowds. To get there, take the MTR to the Central Station, Exit D2 or the Airport Express, Exit B2.
Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo are some of the best places to be for a night of fun. Numerous bistros, jazz clubs, bars and restaurants line the streets. Young and fashionable locals gather for a drink and some fun and pleasure as both Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo are known to have the most entertainment outlets than the other parts of the city.
From Queen's Road in Central, walk up either Ice House or Wyndham Road. There is an old triangular-shaped ice storage building which is now home to the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents Club and the Fringe Club. Wyndham Road is lined with numerous crafts shops and leads to the popular nightlife districts of SoHo. Below Staunton Street lies Hollywood Road which is a place well known for its well stocked antique stores. Around the area, a score of bars and restaurants have sprung up to an area known as BoHo (Below Hollywood). The area has become the late night hangout, neatly joining up SoHo and Lan Kwai Fong areas and perfect for Hong Kong Island nightlife.

Numerous Hong Kong bars and Hong Kong nightclubs also line the street around Wan Chai. The place is usually crowded after the sun sets and is well known for its late-night events. Another popular drinking area is in SoHo, an acronym for “South of Hollywood Road” and is centered around Staunton Street.
The center of Hong Kong nightlife in Wan Chai is located in the heart of the area, around the MTR station and Lockhart Road, one of the most dynamic streets in Hong Kong Island. The eastern end of Lockhart Road leads to Causeway Bay and turns into an endless row of hardware and interior décor shops. The western end is a lively neighborhood of nightclubs, restaurants, bars, pubs and discos. Wan Chai is a favorite recreation destination for thousands of Americans, Australians and New Zealand tourists. Some of Hong Kong's liveliest bars and restaurants are found, with a mixture of locals and international travelers there every night.
Causeway Bay’s lively streets and crowded avenues are lined with restaurants, Hong Kong Island shopping centers and entertainment districts that appeal to both the old and the young. There is a collection of cozy bars, friendly pubs and karaoke lounges that are just a few minutes away from many Causeway Bay's shopping centers. Yiu Wa Street is located near Times Square Shopping Mall and is famous around the area, just a short walk away from the MTR Causeway Bay Station.
